An Interview with Amy Swift, co-author of "Ladies Who Launch: Embracing Entrepreneurship & Creativity as a Lifestyle"

How would you describe yourself in 5 words?
Discerning, genuine, curious, intuitive and disciplined.
What was the last book you read?
The China Study
If I were to walk into your home right now, what book would I see on your nightstand?
10 New Yorkers
I haven't read, the latest Domino (can't wait to read) and Water for Elephants (I hope I can start it soon.)
How long did it take to write your book?
About 9 months I think...
What are the top 3 things the reader can take away from it to apply to their life?
Anyone can launch their dreams (you just need to know how.) Launching something (anything) builds self-esteem and confidence. Women do it differently--and that's a good thing.

And name an author not living you'd like to chat over dinner with?
Colette
Is there a certain spot - cafe, room in house, in your car, etc. - that ignites your creative juices?
It's less about
where and more about time of day...which would be morning.
Hardback of Paperback?
Hard.
We're big on giving time and resources to those who can use the boost up. What organizations, if any are close to your heart and support?
I really love www.womenforwomen.org

"I have the simplest tastes. I am always satisfied with the best." Oscar Wilde
What's the easiest way to get into the 'flow'?
Go for a long walk or drive to 'clear the canvas.'
Whose life do you think will change because of your book?
Women who want validation that the
way they've been thinking about life, business, anything....has been right all along.
What inspired this book?
The hundreds of women in the Ladies Who Launch Incubator membership.
